Had been going by this recipe for lack of fresh mint, but came into some so was finally able to try it. Yes, REAL mint. Quite lovely.

Oatmeal Stout-Milk Chocolate Ice Cream with Oatmeal Praline

Definite Top Five Recipe, and a repeater - so far I've made it as written with Guinness, and with Double Chocolate Stout, and with Oatmeal Praline add-in. And then recently got some home-brewed Oatmeal Stout. So of course had to try it with that. Did the Oatmeal Praline mix-in for a bit of crunch. Oh YUM!

Malted Vanilla Ice Cream

I don't think I've ever had a Vanilla Malt. Certainly had my share of Chocolate Malts, and for some reason that's what I think of when I think Malt. So I was intrigued by this recipe. It was pretty subtle. Nice, but if I were to do it again I'd try a bit more vanilla and/or malt powder, or maybe try it with vanilla bean.
